FOREIGN WORKERS IN THE U.S. LABOR FORCE

Funder: Alfred P. Sloan Foundation

Through this project, ISIM aimed to improve understanding of trends in the admission of temporary foreign workers, the impact of temporary worker programs on the United States, and the implications of these findings for future policy development. ISIM conducted policy-relevant research by collecting up-to-date statistics, reviewing immigration regulations, and interviewing stakeholders. Bi-monthly Briefing Roundtables were also convened for stakeholders, including employer and worker organizations, Executive branch officials and Congressional policymakers.
