Yadi Zhang is a PhD candidate for School of Public Affairs at Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China). She is also a part-time researcher at Center for Non-Traditional Security and Peaceful Development Studies. Her PhD thesis analyzes protection of Chinese overseas labor migration from a perspective of public goods theory. Yadi got her Master’s degree in International Relations from University of Warwick (Coventry, U.K.). She also served as a coordinator at the Friends of the Earth (Birmingham) in the U.K. Currently, Yadi is working on a comparative analysis of Western and Chinese concepts of global migration governance. She is also translating ISIM Professor Emerita Dr. Susan Martin’s latest book International Migration—Evolving Trends from the Early 20th Century to the Present into Chinese, expected August 2018.
