Title: Immigration Reform Symposium Report

The Symposium Report from our September 25th event, “Implementing Immigration Reform: Imagining the Possibilities,” is now available for download. ISIM co-hosted this event with Deloitte Consulting, with the purpose of stimulating a discussion on strategies, solutions, and innovations for implementing immigration reform. The symposium convened leaders from Federal agencies, Capitol Hill, private sector organizations, non-profits, think tanks, and academia to generate meaningful discussion around immigration reform issues, including border security, immigrant outreach, and the need to meet future labor demands.

Together, stakeholders generated meaningful discussion around immigration reform issues, including border security, immigrant outreach, and the need to meet future labor demands. The day began with a Congressional Debate between Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Maryland) and former Rep. Tom Davis (R-Virgina), followed by comments from Felicia Escobar, Senior Policy Director for Immigration, White House Domestic Policy Council.

ISIM is also hosting private roundtable forums through 2014 focused on immigration reform and implementation, thanks to support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. To learn more about ISIM’s Immigration Policy initiatives, click here.
