ISIM, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration, recently launched the third PROGRESS report with a spotlight on East, Horn and Southern Africa. The report examines the factors associated with internally /displaced persons’ (IDP’s) intentions to pursue durable solutions. It also examines outcomes related to durable solutions, including livelihoods, housing, and access to education, health care and other essential services. The report is based on:
- Quantitative analysis based on some 15,000 household surveys collected by IOM
- Country case studies for Burundi, Mozambique and South Sudan
- A spotlight chapter on durable solutions in Somalia
- Qualitative analysis drawn from key informant interviews
