Kate Fin
Research Assistant
Kate is a graduating senior studying international politics, development, and Turkish in the School of Foreign Service. At ISIM, Kate has worked on a number of joint projects, including a refugee score card grading Congressional members' performance on refugee issues with Church World Services. Currently, she is drafting a policy brief on the effects of COVID-19 on global asylum frameworks with Jesuit Refugee Services - USA. She is interested in the intersection of forced displacement, armed conflict, and gender. Her senior thesis, supervised by Dr. Elizabeth Ferris, analyzes the evolution of Turkish refugee policy since the advent of the Syrian civil war.
