Denisse Bonilla-Chaoui
Assistant Director
Denisse Bonilla-Chaoui (she/her) joined ISIM in the fall of 2024 as the Assistant Director. She oversees the daily operations of the institute, including program administration, faculty support, event management, and communications and outreach, and provides support for the Master’s degree in International Migration and Refugees. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, she has worked in very diverse sectors, which include the European headquarters of Rip Curl in France, interpreting for Spanish and French speaking LEP families in Prince George’s County Public Schools, the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, and the public radio station WAMU 88.5. Prior to her time at ISIM she also spent several years working at the School of Foreign Service, as a staff member of the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and the SFS Dean’s Office.
