Olivia Grandpre
Olivia Grandpre is from Richmond Virginia. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2024. At Notre Dame, Olivia double majored in Sociology and Global Affairs, with minors in History and in Civil and Human Rights. Throughout her time in undergrad, Olivia found her interest and passion in migration and refugee issues. She worked alongside a professor aiding Afghan refugees seeking asylum in the US through the Special Immigration Visa process. Throughout her senior year, she conducted research on the ideal qualities of host communities for successful refugee resettlement in the United States.
Olivia enriched her Notre Dame experience by studying abroad in both London and Rome. In addition to her classes in London, she worked for Peace Direct, a grassroots peacebuilding organization supporting local peace and development projects across the globe. In Rome, Olivia interned at a Roman news agency where she reported on both local and international news. In the US, she interned at UNICEF USA, conducting research and writing content on UNICEF’s emergency response programs.
In her free time, Olivia loves cooking, traveling, concert-going, and watching Notre Dame sports.
