Bedir Sala is a visiting researcher at ISIM. He currently focuses on the political identity of young Turks in the United States. Bedir is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology at Afyon Kocatepe University in Turkey. He received his Ph.D. in sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences at Selcuk University in 2016. His research and writing focus on social movements in Turkey, Turkey’s refugee policy, and political identities of immigrants. He has published his research in peer-reviewed journals and also contributed several book chapters.
